Media Composer 5.0.1 / 5.0.2 / 5.0.3

Avid lijkt na de succesvolle release van MC5 nog steeds druk bezig te zijn aangezien na de patch 5.0.0.1 nu ook een officiële bugfix release is uitgebracht: v. 5.0.1.

Update 05-08-2010:
Avid heef ondertussen ook al weer versie 5.0.3 uitgebracht. Ook nu zijn er weer een groot aantal bugs geplet en het is dan ook de moeite waard om deze versie te installeren als u problemen ondervind! De readme is hier te vinden, en de software zelf is via het Download centrum te vinden (zie onderstaand).

Update 21-07-2010:
Omdat de 5.0.1 versie problemen veroorzaakte in trial mode, waarbij de software slechts 24uur ipv. 30 dagen werkte is versie 5.0.2 uitgebracht. 5.0.1 is verwijderd uit het Download centrum en 5.0.2 bevat dan ook geen nieuwe wijzigingen buiten de fix voor de trial mode.

Voor gebruikers van versie 5.0.0 is het aan te raden deze update te installeren. Ondervindt u echter geen problemen dan hoeft het natuurlijk niet. Versie 5.0.1 kan worden gedownload in het Avid Download centrum op de Avid website.
 

Versie 5.0.1 bevat de volgende bugfixes: 

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00140689. When you enable the Bypass button in the RTAS tool, the
track inserts on timeline did not indicate a bypass. This has been fixed so that the insert
button highlights when you click the Bypass button for that insert in the RTAS tool.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00140688. The Bypass button in the RTAS tool now displays the
same color as the Bypass buttons in other audio tools when activated.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00144174. When you attempted an audio Match Frame on a group
clip, you might have received an error message, “Out of subclip boundaries, which clip do
you want to load? subclip or master clip?” If you chose “master clip,” you might have
crashed. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00144057. You can now link Canon XF 720p23.976 media through
AMA from your local drive.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00143823. Playback errors should not occur when playing back an
AMA MXF clip. This was improved with AMA handling of CBR MXF files.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00143248. The Solo and Mute buttons in the Timeline did not update
when they were enabled or disabled from the Audio Mixer. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00140321. Selecting the Solo or Mute buttons on Command|8 did not
update the Solo or Mute buttons on the Timeline. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00144192. Transcoding sequences that contained stereo clips with
Pan/Vol Effects across frame rates, might have resulted in large gaps of filler in the
sequence. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00143590. Deleting tracks in the Timeline by pressing the keyboard
Delete key multiple times in a row might have resulted in a fatal error. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00141919. In source/record or trim mode, after deleting a clip in the
Timeline, the next clip in the sequence was automatically selected. This has been fixed. No
clip is automatically selected after a delete operation when in these modes.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00137752. Previously, selecting the Dyn3 EQ effect on multichannel
clips resulted in an error. Now unsupported multi-channel effects are not selectable.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00144432. Performing an Add Edit in audio that had pan or clip gain
resulted in a RED match-cut that you could not select and delete. This has been fixed.

➤ Bug Number: UDevC00132950. (Macintosh) Performing a File Import might have resulted
in a system crash. This has been fixed.
